The Excerpts 64: Meaning of a Life

By Dighayu

What is the meaning of a life?
This is a question of many.
Some may find the answer,
but it may be right or wrong.
Some even worse, until the moment they are dying,
     they still wonder why?
By right, we can get the answer from the wise,
but there is another question, who is wise
and who is not wise?
Even though we are sure that a person is wise,
But he can only tell us why,
And we never really know what is the meaning of a life,
Unless we have a good try.
Then we may realize, why people keep on asking
what, how and why?
Just because they don't know, what is the different between:
Right and wrong
     Let go and attachment
Wisdom and ignorance.
Hopefully we will become wise in the future,
And lead the fool turn into the wise.

Note: certainly I am not wise, because I am still asking why. 1993
