Viriya (Energy or Perserverance) is one of the teachings of the Buddhist paramitas (perfections). Literally, the Pali word sounds powerful, yet it does not carry the meaning of brute strength, which is just a physical asset. Viriya means mental vigour or strength of character, which is far more superior. It is the mind's will or perseverance to work for the welfare of all sentient beings

About Us

The Viriya Buddhist Fellowship (VBF) is formed with the aim of sharing the Buddha's Dhamma among working professionals. We hope to reach out to people who are interested to know or share the Dhamma together. Therefore, with this vision in mind and through caring, bonding and sharing, our spiritual development could be enhanced through our combined effort.

VBF organises weekly activities like Dhamma discussions, attending talks by various venerables, sports activities, month-end outings and more.
